What does a sourcing agent in Korea do?
A sourcing agent is your representative on the ground. We find and vet Korean suppliers, negotiate in Korean, coordinate samples and production, check quality before shipment and organise the export paperwork and freight — so you deal with one English-speaking contact instead of many separate suppliers.
How much does it cost?
Every project starts with a free consultation. Once we understand your product, volumes and destination, we send a written quote for our service fee before any paid work begins. The fee depends on the scope — sourcing only, or end-to-end including inspection, purchasing and shipping.
Can you buy from Korean suppliers that do not export?
Yes. Many Korean manufacturers and wholesalers only sell domestically. We can purchase from them locally and handle the export declaration, invoicing and shipping so you can still buy their products.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
It depends on the product and the supplier. Finished brand products can often be bought in small quantities, while custom or private-label manufacturing usually has higher MOQs. We tell you realistic MOQs during the shortlist stage and negotiate where possible.
How long does shipping from Korea take?
Port to port, sea freight from Busan takes about 11–14 days to Los Angeles / Long Beach, around 25 days to New York and 36–53 days to Rotterdam while Asia–Europe ships still sail around Africa (carrier schedules, 2026). Air freight and express courier take days rather than weeks. See our shipping guide for every option.
Do US tariffs apply to goods from Korea?
Yes. The KORUS free trade agreement is still in force, but since 24 July 2026 most Korean-origin goods pay a combined 12.5% under a Section 301 tariff, and steel, cars and some other sectors have their own Section 232 rates. Which countries do you ship to?
We work with buyers worldwide and can ship to any country by sea freight, air freight or express courier. Import rules differ by destination, so we confirm documents and labeling requirements with you before production.
How do you check product quality?
We check samples before production and can inspect finished goods against your specification before they ship — counting, measuring, testing function and checking packaging — with photos in the report.
